Title: Things I seem to have lost (?) from MC10 to MC13
Post by: Donny Bahama on May 13, 2009, 01:25:58 pm
I used to be able to change a file's properties (tags) based on its location. This was nice, because I found it easier and less time consuming to do my sorting in Windows Explorer, then, when I had things the way I wanted them, I could do the rename operation and the files would be renamed according to the directory structure. Now, the only thing I can find is something that will move files (and create a directory structure) according to the file's properties.

Also, I used to be able to remove missing files from the database.

I can't figure out how to do either of these any more.

Select a few files, and right click.  Explore Library Tools/Fill Properties from FileName.

Yeah, tried that. It renamed the directories to match the tags. I want the tags updated to match the directory structure. (This used to be available in MC10.)
