Title: Can't play MKV file encoded with Handbrake

I have a .MKV file created by Handbrake (the list details in the file says "VLC Media File .mkv") that MC13 won't play ... I get a message saying "Direct show, no combination of filters could be found to render the stream code 0x80040218"

Same movie rendered as an mp4 file plays fine.

Any hints / suggestions?

(Was encoded using h.264 using the constant quality settings in Handbrake, with a stereo mp3 audio file; plays back fine on the same laptop using VLC as the player)

In our Wiki (link above) please read about DirectShow and especially CCCP.  You're missing the filters for whatever is inside the MKV container.

Thanks!  Installing CCCP did the trick.
