Title: video playback prob
Post by: Xstatic on May 29, 2009, 07:55:09 am
I suffer a strange video playback problem with mc13. It won't play my video files, not the ones I have in sd-resolution and not the ones in hd-resolution.

MC12 plays them all. Windows media player also plays them - but somehow mc13 wont. I have checked the playback settings, etc - and they are identical in both mc12 and mc13. So I am very, very mystified about this, and this really blocks my shift from mc12 to mc13.

I should add that I have validated that the various drivers, graphic card etc are all the newest.

Hoping to crack this one,
regards
Jesper

Did some more testing - it seems more simple to adjust direct show filters in mc12 than in mc13.
I use enhanced video renderer filter in mc12 .- and it works as it should. But in mc13 it xxxx's up, and the screen is black with rapid blinking - and I can see on top of the screen that it goes from one movie file to another attempting to play and so on.

Hoping that this is just some simple box i need to check, to make it work...

Jesper.

In our Wiki, read about DirectShow.  Consider installing CCCP.  Link for wiki is above.

In MC's options, you could also tell it to use the WMP engine when possible.

Did you check Tools > Options > File Types?
