Title: Can't rip unless administrator privileges
Post by: PLuft on May 31, 2009, 12:36:15 am
Hi

Media Center 13 won't rip a disk for me unless I'm running my account as an administrator.  I normally run as a limited user, because it's a good way to thwart viruses.   When I try to rip as a limited user, MC13 says "Open Drive Failed. Parameter is out of range."  If I change the same account to an administrator, MC13 will rip fine.  I am running a freshly installed Windows XP Home SP3.

I have tried reinstalling the program numerous times (from an administrator account, of course).  Any suggestions?  Thank you.
