MC14.0.12 has an implementation of Hulu. It won't be available here until Monday, but here are three screenshots (http://pix01.com/1c@xmby).

Oh MAMA! ;D
Awesome news Jim, it looks amazing!

Anyone know how I can fake my IP Address??? :(

A proxy server.

A proxy server.
Care to elaborate?
Is YouTube integration for Theater View being considered also? The whole world can play YouTube videos.
-
Yet another service telling me they won't service me because I'm in the UK.
I'm getting oh-so tired of this, and more than a little disillusioned. [with media on demand services in general, not MC]
A proxy server.
Would you be on shaky legal ground if JRiver set up a proxy server for MC?
We could then keep the system settings as is, while MC would route through a JRiver proxy when required.
I'm sure I know the answer to that already, but hey, God loves a tryer, right? ;) :)

Yes. Not even shaky.

You can connect to a proxy server anywhere. It relays your requests to the destination server so they appear to come from the proxy.
Try google for more.
Of course, I don't recommend this. I'm just thinking out loud.

Yes.

You might have more luck here (http://www.xroxy.com/proxylist.htm)

You Can Always Do What Jed Clampett Did.

Guys, Hulu can detect most anon proxies and anonymous VPN services such as Hotspot shield. If you really want Hulu and live or travel a lot outside of the US, AFAIK you will need to sign up for a US based VPN or VPS. There are some that also offer US and UK server options, so you can get Hulu, BBC iPlayer, Last.fm etc.
-
If anyone manages to find a proxy for this, please let us know. I'll probably do some digging my self in a few days.
I can't even describe the pain in the butt this region nuts is. US users have exclusive right for a lot of good services. Arrrrgh!
Sorry. Had to let some steam out.

neat! ;D

Will it support hulu user playlist?

Hulu support is in build 13, now posted on this board. You need to customize Theater View (Tools/Options/Theater View) and choose Add, then Webpage. Here's a screenshot:

I'm not sure I understand how Hulu is working. I add it to theater view as described above and I certainly get Hulu on my system. I'm seeing what appears to be an random assortment of video clips. Is there a way to display my queue? Where do I find the Browsable Categories described above?
-
Do you have MC14.0.13 installed?
-
Yes.
-
When you click on Hulu, you will see two menu rollers at the top. Those are your choices.
-
I've got the two menu rollers and I can browse the clips just fine. But, when I select PLAY, nothing happens. I get sent to a blank white screen. I tried waiting to see if they would load but they do not. Placing my cursor at the top of the screen shows the control box and it looks like it should be playing (pause button, not play). Using my browser, I can view clips on Hulu just fine.
When I go back to standard view the clip is now queued in Playing Now. Mouse hover shows "JRWEB / webmedia://Hulu/78021". Again, it still won't play from here either. No firewall restrictions and I can access the web from Start page just fine.

Hulu may only work if you're coming from the US. You might try playing in a browser from Hulu.com to see if you have any better luck.
-
Yes, I mentioned above that it works fine in my browser. And, I'm in Texas.
-
Hulu playback seems to reset the audio playback display to cover art. I always have to set it back to g-force after playing hulu.
-
Hey so is this available only for US users?? ?
-
Currently only US, but the hulu team are working on getting international streaming rights for the media. So it should be world wide eventually. I'm in the UK ;)

shweeet... ;D hope it happens soon then!
-
Why wait? :) Try out Hotspotshield or Ultrasurf/Ultrareach. Ultrareach is probably faster. Have not confirmed if it works or not. Have to have an invitation first to test it.
Anyone have an invitation to Hulu?? Please send me a PM. I'd be most greatfull :)

I was using a Theater View Scheme that used 'Base 1' with navigation buttons and it didn't show up. Will the Hulu options eventually be in these view schemes? The button schemes are more touchscreen friendly.
-
Looks like invitations is not needed any more. Just looked at some old web pages, and it got me confused as usual :)
So, download Hotspotshield or Ultrasurf/Ultrareach, make an account and have a blast! I'll test it later today my self. I'm at the office, so I think there are some firewall limitations here.

We recently made changes to make rollers easier to use with a touchscreen. If you still have problems with rollers and a touchscreen with the latest build, please start a thread and we can discuss it.
Thanks.

Nice addition! I would love to see Hulu, Youtube, etc available as a selection in the standard view as well.

1st install of version 14.13 today. hulu does not work for me. I have added other web pages and they work. What if anything can I send you?
I see it in the menu,, I can go to http://www.hulu.com with my browser and it works fine.
(I haven't tried theater view before) so could be a problem between the chair and the keyboard.

You need to use the Obsidian skin.

I tested Hulu with both UltraReach and HotspotShield. Both is supposed to make Hulu work outside the US. HotspotShield worked, but the video was so jumpy that it could not be watched. Speed/buffering problem. Ultrareach is supposed to work better. It did connect and let me play files, but i got the message stating that something was wrong with the streaming. Hulu found a way of shielding them self against the use of UltraReach maby? Black listed the proxies or something.
This put a big dampener on my hopes of a good video streaming service available in Norway or Europe. Let's just hope Hulu gets international soon. Very soon.
