Title: Audible and MC12 - How to get playback
Post by: nurowolf on June 15, 2009, 10:12:32 am
Hi

I have had an audible account forever and I recently realised that Audible is meant to work inside MC12.  However I cant get the files to playback.

Does anybody know how to do this.  The files download no problem and get listed within the Audible Library - but MC12 says that the file is corrupt.

Do I need to install any 3rd party software to make this work?

Also - I want to record to CD for in my CAR.  Can I do this through MC12 - or do I need to download AudibleManager?

Thanks for the help.

You could try MC13.  It's on the download page.

You should be able to burn Audible tracks to a CD from MC.

I have no intention of updating to MC13 at this stage.

I run NetRemote and Girder From Promxis and I have my server running fine.  I also still use Meedio with a self built plugin.  I dont have the time to install new software and make it work through all my different Media Centres and servers.

I would just like MC12 to work the way it was meant to.

As a further note - MC12 asks me for a user ID and Password for the audible files - then goes away for a while and tries to read the file before returning the message.

Actually it works fine.

I was testing on my Work Laptop which had a VPN turned on.  This was preventing MC12 from talking to Audible.

Turn the VPN off and MC12 worked a treat.

So now its time to turn it on on my Server.

Thanks
