Title: Smartlist - Recently Imported - External HD
Post by: ginty32 on July 09, 2009, 04:15:06 pm
I try to set up a smartlist to show recent ripped/imported files and I get files I've had for years showing up.  Would disconnecting my hd have anything to do with that?  What steps can I take to limit files to imported w/in 60 days.  I use the Date Imported/in the last/60 days rule.

How are you set up at: "Tools > Options > Library and Folders > Auto Import Folders > Options > Fix broken links"

I suspect that you have it set as "Yes".

If I'm correct, you should change that to "Yes (protect network files)"

Plain old "Yes" means that if you start MC with the external drive disconnected, MC will remove any files stored on it from the library, while with the 'protect' option, MC will merely mark the files as 'unavailable'

I checked my options and the protect network files was checked.  Thanks for the information.
