Using MC 14 on Windows Vista, The audio files stops playing in the middle of a file. Double click another in the same folder doesnt work. I have to push "STOP" and then play again to restart the playback.
This happens at any moment , after one or sometimes several files.
It happens on 16/44 ripped files and 24/96 HD download files. I use WASAPI for exact playback bit to bit from different files.
Thanks for your help

This sounds like a driver problem with your soundcard.
You might use Directsound for a while just to be sure it really is a WASAPI exclusive problem.

It was really a big problem using WASAPI , ( stops playing, cracks, and sometimes digital noise). I changed for ASIO4ALL and everything works perfect.
Found exact configuration for JRiver and ASIO in ayre.com (making High End Stuff) , presenting their new USB DAC

We've talked with Ayre in the past when they reported such a problem as you describe. We solved the problem a couple of months ago. Make sure you have a recent version of MC14.
Here's the settings page on our Wiki:
http://wiki.jrmediacenter.com/index.php/DAC_Settings
Are you using that DAC?

I use MC 14 0 46 version, and DCS SAC SCARLATTI + UPSAMPLER. I tried those settings but WASAPI remains very instable. ASIO4ALL works .
-
Can you try without the upsampling? WASAPI isn't unstable.

Finally gets WASAPI working, except some light clics, but rare. It works only with buffering at 0.05 seconds !!!
Other buffering sets result in clicking and stopping ?
Thanks for our answer

Make sure you're using the latest Media Center 14. It should keep shrinking the hardware buffer size until it finds a size that works.
