Title: uninstall error
Post by: aussie1 on August 15, 2009, 12:06:23 pm
I uninstalled Media Center 12 and have replaced it with Media Center 14.  However, I now received the following error whenever I reboot my machine:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Program:...j River\Media Center 12\Media Center 12.exe
The application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual  way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

After I hit ok to that message, I receive another error message:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Program: C...
R6025
-pure function call

After I hit ok to that message, I receive the following error:

Media Center 12.exe - Application Error
The exception unknown software exception (0x40000015) occurred in the application at location 0x100153a5.
Click on OK to terminate program

I am using Windows XP. I did a full uninstall using the control panel/Add Remove programs.

How can I get rid of this error? How do I make sure that MC12 is off my machine and there OS is trying to run the program on startup?

Thanks,
S
