Title: mc 14 delete allways my thumbnails [solved]

mc 14.0.50
tools - tree& view - thumbnails - "thumbnails exit behavior = leave"


when i add thumbnails in my first lybrary mc 14 delete thumbnails from my second lybrary.
when i restore my lybrary mc 14 delete all my thumbnails.

allways i must manually "build missing thumbnails",  sadly it needs by 120000 songs a long time. (each time)

can you turn off this feature?
why is it one thumbnail folder for two lybrarys.

Restoring a library flushes all thumbnails.

Instead, create two libraries in Library Manager and switch between them.  This way, thumbnails will be preserved.

Ok Matt

i created two librarys in library manger and switched berween them the way you suggested it.
I've done this all along. MC 14 still deletes the thumbnails from the second library.

I will try to delete all the folders (Thumbnails temp ....) and will install MC 14 again.
After that i will create new thumbnails from both libarys and test switching between them.
Let's see if it works.

It's important that each library have a unique internal ID or they would fight with each other.  If you duplicate libraries by hand outside Media Center, they might end up with the same ID.

You could create a new library to be sure your libraries have unique IDs.

I has create 2 new libraries with the library manager (clone The old libraries).
MC 14 has create 2 unique IDs.
MC 14 preserved the thumbnails now.

My mistake.
