Title: Question: XML file with video?

Hi,

Am I able to stop Media Center from creating an XML for each of my videos?
Is it necessary? Is the metadata not stored in the file?

Metadata are not stored in video files.  That is why the xml sidecar files are created.  If you do not want them, you can turn sidecar option off:

      Tools > Options > General > Store tags in extenal sidecar files if the filetype does not support tagging

remove the check mark next to "Video".
