A suggested improvement: If I let the cursor hover over the time bar I see something like
"Position: 1:37/3:18
(right-click to toggle pause)"
where the first digits tell me the time (counted from the start of ther track) when I put the cursor there.
I would like to extend the information to e.g.
"Position: 1:37/3:18.
Cursor: 0:39",
where the last field tells me where on the time bar the cursor is.
That could be useful when you want to start playing at a certain point in the middle of a track - The first line can tell you what you want to find, the second line helps you find it.

sounds good!

nice idea. i would use that.

I keep forgetting that this feature isn't currently available, and I try to see where in the video the cursor is hovering... and then I remember it's not available. I always forget to request it too, so thanks!

You can simply drag the position bar to any position, the display changes accordingly. No jumping actually takes place until you release it at your desired position.

Thank you, Yaobing!
I had missed that feature - it gives me at least part of what I want.
There is one thing I don't like about it, though. Once I have started dragging the bar, there is no turning back - If i decide not to go to wherever I wanted to go, the display will keep displaying the time where I left the position bar, and I can't find any way to give back the control of the position bar and the display to the player, not even when the next song has started. The only way I can find out of that state is to actually go somewhere in the tune.
So the change I asked for would still be nice to have, even if my basic need in this area is fulfilled.
Or: If I could get out of the "Move position bar" state by moving the cursor away from the bar and then press the Esc key, that could work too.
