Title: Tags for genres similar to photos

I'm using 12 and not sure I need to upgrade.  There are already plenty of things I don't take advantage of, or don't even know of its existence.  But what I would upgrade for or if it is in 12 please instruct me:  I would like to tag one song with various genres.  Like in Photo programs I can tag a picture with a person's name or location, date, etc.  With music I would like to tag a Song with Rock, Acoustic, Soundtrack, Cover, etc.  Is there something like that?  I already use Custom 1 as a secondary genre field, but I would like more options.

I think creating a new list-style field is your best bet.  Look in Options > Library > Manage Library Fields...

You could copy the existing genre into the new field using Tools > Move & Copy Fields or in-place edit the new field with =[Genre]
