Yesterday, I upgraded from MJ7.something to MJ 8.30. Backed up license wasn't requested (greyed out) during installation, even though I asked for a fresh and complete install after rebooting.
Now, I can't play CD's in Digital format; can't burn at all. Only my CD-RW is available; using generic driver doesn't help.
Since the CD-RW is on an IDE channel, I guess ASPI doesn't figure in, but I did go out and pull down a WNASPI32.dll (from 1999) and stuck it into the Windows/system32 subdirectory.
There are no changes to my machine from MJ7 .... still the same hardware, which is a 900 MHz AMD Athlon proc, Award Bios ver. 6.00PG, 256K Ram, AOpen AK73 Pro(A) mobo, WinME, 40G HDD, etc. etc.
Any help would be appreciated.
