I tried 14.0.50 a few weeks back and it worked great,then i decided to stay on 13 for awhile longer so i uninstalled it. today i decided to buy 14, and downloaded 14.0.61, licenced it. and the second after splash screen disappears and when i click anywhere in\on 14, display view, playlists, toolbar, help,tools, file, the border of 14 etc...she locks up immediatelly and hard... and the mouse justs spins and will continue until i chose end task. i've tried reboot and opening and closing and also closing all apps including virus in taskbar and tried reopening and she still locks up immediatelly after first click anywhere.
Wondering if maybe this new 14 version may have a compatibility issue with something on my pc? so maybe i could try the 14.0.50 version again please?
ive not installed anything in a few months, but if i can get the version before this, at least i can narrow it down a bit...never know.
Also one more question please. anyway to grab all settings, views etc from my 13 version, so i dont have to renenter everything manually in 14?

I still have that. I've PM'd you a link for download.
Build 61 upgrades the library, so, that may be why it's baulking. If it's managed to perform the upgrade, then you may find that build 50 won't be able to load it.
Consider making a backup of your library folder, then delete its contents and try starting build 61. If that cures the hangups, then you know you have a problem with your library.

Is there an error message behind the program?
Did you try uninstalling, rebooting, and reinstalling? Remove the registry entries when you uninstall (if necessary).
It's possible that it's waiting for Windows. Something like a network drive missing, etc.
Send a log to matt at jriver with a link to this thread if it continues.

Thanks for the log.
It shows the program starting and you viewing a log, so I think we need the 'Previous Log' after a hang.

I haven't gotten a log. Try compressing it. Or use the 'Email' button on the logging dialog.

same issue as last time i sent ya a log man... 20 mb file no idea why my logs are so big? i cleaned it before i ran it then chose email. should i use usendit again?

It looks like a problem with the new-in-v14 PSD reader.
Could you send me a copy of this file:
G:\My Pictures\ADOBE ITEMS - Web Stuff\Wedding Collection - Psd's\Wedding Collection - Vol 02\004.psd
Also, just uncheck PSD import to get around the current road block.

It's loading alright on a few machines here, so my best guess is that Media Center ran out of memory.
Would you be able to keep an eye on the memory usage for Media Center 14.exe in Task Manager (you might look at the 'Commit Size' column) and see what it's at around the time the program hangs?
I'm guessing there's a certain file or file type causing a leak, but we'll need to work to narrow it down. PSD is a good guess since that's all new in v14.

i did try in 13 to take off ratings off of 138,274 files and she brought 3078MB total down to 124mb and then jriver locked up and memory instantly refreshed. maybe it's that, and im having memory issues? oh and thats with nothign else running except what needs to be.

Just watch it as you do what's locking, which from the log, looked like import of your images folder.
