Title: Ripping WMA Files Does Not Embed Track Number in the Files [solved]
Post by: DWAnderson on September 08, 2009, 09:47:51 am
When I rip a CD to variable bit rate WMA files using MC on a client PC and then import the ripped files using MC running on our server all of the track numbers have disappeared.

I have verified that this is a problem with the ripping process as when I import the same files into Windows Media Player the track numbers all show as "0."

The issue here turned out to be directory sharing permissions on one or both of the network shares where the library was stored and where the ripped files were stored.

Thanks for letting us know, and glad it's working now.
