Title: FR: Device Based Profiles

I sync to two different handhelds, an iPod and a Sandisk mp3 player. I use a very high bit rate for the iPod but the older Sandisk can only handle 128b. Every time I sync I have to go in and change the handheld options. Isn't there a way for MC to save the settings for individual devices? It would sure be nice.

I don't understand why they wouldn't be recognized as different devices in the first place. I can have both my iPod and Sansa players plugged in at the same time, set their own appropriate options separately, and sync them 'at the same time' without any issues.

What kind of problems are you running into?
