Title: Library 'database' Folder <---Share as Network folder?

Can the Library 'database' folder be shared on the network to be concurrently accessed and shared by different HTPCs? without file locking, corruption or other complications?

thanks!  I've been searching the forum of an answer for weeks, but all I found was people asking the same question. 

Goes to show people are smarter than search engines any day of the week! ;D
