Will MC14 be able to sync with my old Rio karma 20GB player?
I used MC11 and MC12 with my Karma but I wasn't able to sync with MC13, I am trying to build a small music server recycling my old Karma, and I would like to know if MC14 would be able to "read" and "stream" music from my old Karma.
Best regards and again MC is an unbeatable product, good job guys!

Thanks. I'm sorry, but you'll probably have to try it to find out.

My Karma did work with MC13 I believe...
Died a year ago or so...
I was using it in the car mostly (great playback controls for using in a car).
had to build a carputer to replace my karma...

that's sad... my karma still works, the only problem is the broken power button but everything works very fine, I hope I can find a way to put my karma to work again as a little music server... suggestions are welcome...
MC14 and MC13 do not sync my karma
Where can I download MC12 and MC11? Am I able to restore a license for those versions? I will try to install those versions on my old laptop and see if my karma works.
Regards

On our wiki, search for "old versions".

I am almost 100% sure it did work with MC13. I remember I had to fiddle with it quite a lot - put the latest drivers and firmware.
Does MC14 see it at all?
Also, you're talking about several things.. Syncing, reading and streaming.
Syncing - when I had problems with that, I would create a hard drive folder ("fake handheld") and would syng to that folder and then sync the Karma with that folder by using Rio Music Manager.
Reading - never tried but I don't think you can play files directly from Karma via MC.
Streaming - same story.
I actually don't really see the point in what you're doing. Just use a new/old hard drive (20GB, 200GB, 2000GB, any size) for your server. Why mess with Karma? Just to save a 5-year-old 20GB 1.8" harddrive?

I really liked that player and wanted to take it alive again... nostalgia :-\
thanks for your answers... no more mess with the karma, bye.
