Title: DTS
Post by: maid on September 21, 2009, 01:44:46 am
Hi,

Can someone suggest what is going on with my playback of DTS movies.

I have upgraded MC 14 and cccodec pack.

My amp is not picking up the DTS audio and I have no voices.

Cheers

If you installed CCCP (one of these days I'll have to make a move arguing against it), I'm guessing you're using ffdshow to decode your audio streams. If that's the case make sure in output options you checked Pass-through (SPDIF) for AC3 and DTS so it sends the audio part untouched to your receiver. If you use other decoder make sure it has SPDIF option checked.

I thought that I had fixed this I tickd DTS in the ffshow output in CCCP .

I checked this again and it was ticked along with everything else.

When I played the movie no DTS so I right click and check audio filters no DTS ticked.

I ticked this DTS is on great but then I fast forward and my the sound has gone again and my stereo is flashing like crazy.

I think maybe I have a conflict somewhere.

Can you tell me what should and should not be ticked please.

Cheers

Is mixer selected in ffdshow? I think that ac3filter is the best for plain DTS and DD.

Thanks for that but I think I have it sussed.

I tried everything even wound back MC.

Then I remembered I had updated CCCP so I went back to the previous version and all is back to normal.
