I wish I could do this myself, but I'm afraid it's well beyond my expertise.
The "newest" Mini View skin is dated May 2006, so it's been a long time since a new Mini View skin has been made available.
While I do use the Vista Sidebar Gadget, I think a Mini View skin can helpful too.
A few days ago I played around with the Zune 4.0 software (thinking about getting the Zune HD, but not right now) and while MC14 blows it away in overall functionality, one thing that impressed me was the Mini View. I placed the view in the bottom right corner of the screen, (underneath my sidebar gadgets) and found this to be a near-perfect implementation of what I've been looking for from MC.
