This is really irritating. Someone else posted about it (which was the first time I ever connected the behavior to anything connected to MC), but it is still happening on my system...
The Amazon MP3 Downloader is not saving my change to the directory in it's preferences setting, but keeps reverting it back to: C:\Users\glynor\Music\Amazon MP3\. Someone in the previous thread "admitted" that this was MC and said it would be changed to "ask first". Why I'd ever want MC to change the directory in a third party application (which I specifically changed to send files elsewhere) back to the default completely escapes me.
However, I want it to STOP, and it is still happening now, even with today's build. Now, I'm not 100% sure what is going on, but it does keep switching back. It does not, however seem to have anything to do with having MC running or not. Is this something with MC or is the downloader broken somehow?
What is going on?

FYI... The change in the Application happens when I set it, and it works, but only for a "few minutes" and then spontaneously switches itself. For example, I set the option and then bought two albums. I got 6 songs out of a total of about 25 downloaded the proper directory, and then it switched back to the default and the rest went there.
I tried setting the option and then closing the application, and it "stuck"... Kinda. When I re-opened the Downloader, it had kept the new directory setting. But then I left it running for a minute or two and checked again and it was back to the default again.
I don't know if this is due to MC anymore really, other than that other thread, but is anyone else seeing it??

Hmmm... It may have been some sort of weird permissions issue...
Nope... I thought I had solved it, but it came back. Same as before.

Look in the config file for the Amazon downloader and see what it says. Monitor this file to see when it changes. The config file should be in ApplicationData.

I had tried monitoring that file. It was being changed, but I tracked the behavior down to something weird with MC. I posted the details over in the regular forum.
