Title: Where is FLAC encoder?
Post by: Nick McCully on October 13, 2009, 05:38:24 pm
I am new to this software.  All I want to do is rip a CD to FLAC.  But in the tools/options/cd ripping there is no choice for FLAC.  When I go to the Encoders plug-ins page there are zero items available.
I thought FLAC was native to MC, or at least you would provide an encoder.
What am I missing?  Where can I choose to have my CD ripped in FLAC format?
This should be very, very simple as in every other media player program I've used.

It's in my list of encoding options for ripping.

What version do you have?  Where did you get it?

Apparently the version I am running is only 11.1, even though I just purchased the current version.  Let me upgrade to the current version 14 and if I still have the problem I will let you know.
