Title: Barnes & Noble e-reader
Post by: John Gateley on October 20, 2009, 11:02:37 pm
Any thoughts? I haven't even looked at any articles, so I have nothing to contribute, but my wife is interested in e-readers so if you have this one give us a review.

Thanks

It runs Android, which is intriguing.

But aren't you an Amazon share holder?

I've got a few shares, but not really excited about them.

Ann says the kindle doesn't have enough contrast, it's hard to read.

Amazon just announced a desktop (software) Kindle reader.

Speaking of which, is JR looking at managing ebook resources?  Perhaps by incorporating something like calibre into the MediaCenter.

You can sync to a kindle now.  We implemented support when they first came out.

No plans to go any further just now.
