I remember setting options for this in previous versions, but I can't find where these options are set in v3.0.318, and I can't find a reference in the help file.
Where did it go?

This is from MJ 8.0 Help:
Bitrate Conversion
You can do in-line bitrate conversion when transferring files to your player by enabling the option in the Handheld section of the Plug-In Manager. By converting to a lower bitrate during the file transfer, you can transfer more files to your player without having to store them on your hard drive.
If bitrate conversion is enabled, media files will be converted during transfer if the following is true:
The encoder quality selected is not the same as the quality of the file.
The selected encoder supports the media file type. (For example, if the encoder selected is Windows Media™ and the media type supported by the handheld device is MP3, no conversion will be performed.)

Thanks, JimH.
So, I go to Settings->Plug-in Manager->Handheld
Where do I set the bitrate conversion parameters?
-
Can anyone using 3.0.318 please look in the plug-in manager and tell me where to configure bitrate conversion? I can't find the dialog.

Hello Sean,
When you are ready to select the "Upload" button at the root level of your player (i.e. Nomad II) you will see a butto for "Options" below "Upload". This is where you will find the conversion settings you are after. Sorry for the error in the help file.

Ah, that's perfect.
Thanks, I knew it was in there somewhere!
