When I try to view TV I get the error shown in the topic of this post...the result is no audio.
I used to be able to play TV fine with earlier versions of ver 14.
This started perhaps 3 versions ago, when I was using Vista. I am using a Pinnacle USB TV stick on a HP Pavilion PC, currently Windows 7.
Music plays fine in direct sound, asio and wasapi.
Picture is fine just no sound.
Is there something I should check, did something change between rev's with the TV audio code?
If more information is needed I can provide.
Thank You

I Tried this
``````````````
This may be a DirectShow problem.
Try TV/Devices/ and choose the device, then Configure/Digital TV.
Its actually an analog cable TV device. I did configure everything as such
First off I made sure that the analog card was at the top of the list.
Tuner Type = Cable
This Device requires.....= cheked with my speakers shown in the "Choose Mixer Device" area and "Choose Audio Line" = Master Volume
Display, Recording, and Advanced Properties tabs left untouched.
*Failed to render audio stream - unspecified error*
Any other ideas???
Any information I can provide???
Thank You
Settings under filetype. There is a JRiver TV entry down under video. Try changing it.
Mpeg4 DirectShow filters in the same place.
Microsoft filters are normally safe, but try another if you need to.
Hmmmm, no luck.
Just for kicks I will try to go back and find the version that worked. Maybe that can help.
What device do you have?
Only very old devices require checking that checkbox. Those devices require a cable connecting from the device to the (usually) Line-In jack of the sound card. All devices that have been produced in the last few years do not require such connection.
