My version 14 trial expired and whenever I try to push "buy" it only gives me the $50 option. I have purchased every version of this product since 8 (except 13). Are you saying I have to pay $50 to upgrade???

Try installing, and licensing MC12. Once your MC 12 license is installed, try the Buy option from within MC14 again. If there's an upgrade discount moving from 12 to 14, then you should now see the discounted price.
If you already have a licensed v12 installed, then either there's no upgrade path available, or you are having other issues, in which case, it's over to the good folks at JRiver....

The fact that you have to have a previous version installed to get the upgrade is confusing to some people. I think I fell into this trap my self the first time. Many test the new version and expect to be able to upgrade from this version.
Maybe you can make it possible to include a previous version key check when upgrading from the newest version? Just a thought.

MC14 will find a license for a previous version even if the previous version has been uninstalled, but it's simpler (and maybe more reliable) to install an old version _and_ license it.

Ok. That might help a bit.
