Title: NOT displaying MP3 file if (and only if) a FLAC file exists
Post by: struct on November 04, 2009, 05:28:28 pm

Hi,

I have most of my music saved in FLAC files and in the same directories, I ripped MP3's so that I could put on Ipod, etc.

Is it possible to tell MC14 to not display the MP3 file if there exists a flac file of the same filename?  (I don't want to turn off all MP3 files typically as I have some music only in MP3's)

Thanks

Craig

[Obvious alternative is to put MP3's in different directory]

MC has a stack option.  You can put two files together as one library entry.

The handheld sync can do that for you automatically.

struct, while your requirements may be different, can i suggest using transcoding for putting MP3's on your iPod?  It would save you disk space, although cost you in time during sync.
