From the wiki: "To search the entire database, start your search with DB: All (for All Databases) and then type in your search terms. "
That's not working for me. I'm always getting "no results".
How can I search my entire database?
I am sure I am not alone in having videos and documents that share a topic (woodworking for example) and needing a way to search regardless of they type of media.

add view in the root with no filter (Customize View --> Advanced\Set rules for file display)
..you can add it anywhere you like but then you have to untick "use parent..."

Don't I have to do that to one of the media modes? I want to keep Audio, Video, Documents as they are because those media mode selectors are useful for other stuff.
But if you mean I can add a top level scheme (by top level I mean just like Audio, Video, etc) to the tree which I could call Root then that could do the trick, but I don't know how to do that.

Ah, I found it. Cool. I didn't know you could do that.
