Title: Some confusion about Party Mode
Post by: DigitalMusicJunkie on November 18, 2009, 05:42:37 pm
I've been reading the FAQ and searching the forums, but can't seem to find anything relevant to my question.  I have a new trial install of MC14 and whenever I select View | Party Mode and type in a password, the program will pause for a while and then display the message 'There are no files.  Double-click...', etc.  I have checked under File | Library and verified that my correct library is checked in the list, but still I have no audio files in Party Mode.  Also, I have Access Control disabled.

So, what silly thing have I overlooked?  Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Is it possible you have disabled write access to the application data folder somehow?

Party mode requires making a copy of the library that is sandboxed from the real library.

Hmm, not a permissions problem - I'm running FAT32 on that partition.

Surely FAT32 wouldn't cause a problem with the program?

Should have realized earlier that I was using 14.0.79.
Removal followed by reload of 14.0.101 results in more rational behavior.

Thanks.
