Title: Does MC support Bookmarking Playlist or Smartlist for Audiobooks?
Post by: AKhurana on November 28, 2009, 08:43:26 am
Ok, so I figured out how to resume playback an audiobook file by tagging the "Media Sub Type" to Audiobook.
Can we resume playback by bookmarking a playlist or even better - smartlist?

I have more than 100 audio chapter files  for an audio book. then I have several playlists for different books.
It would be ideal to resume playback for an audiobook where it was last left at. I would also like to shift to a different audiobook (playlist) and continue that one form where it was last played. I tried to figure out 'Series/tagging/bookmarking' features  - with no sucess.  Maybe there is a different way to get this accomplished?

There is "Last played" filed which gets updated.  Is there a way to resume playlist playback from the file which has the latest  "last played" filed value?

Help would be greatly appreciated.

when it is a one file audiobook, the bookmarking feature should work. just set the 'use bookmark' tag for that file to yes.

when it are different files and they have something like a track# you could make a smartlist with this audiobook and all its 'chapters' and sort it for playcount and than track#.
