Anyone else notice this plugin for winamp?

The problem is that in order to support the iPhone and iPod Touch, the engineers at JRiver would have to effectively "crack" the encryption that Apple added to the devices.  They could almost certainly do it, given the time to spend on the problem.

The issue isn't that it is too hard to do.  It is that Apple intentionally made it a pain to do, and they has the option to "break" your efforts with every single firmware update (and they often do).  That makes it not worth JRiver's time.

The proper way to do it is to sync all or a portion of your JRiver library over to iTunes, and use iTunes simply for syncing.  There's a few ways to do this now.  Check this thread here for one way: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=51734.0
