1) Ability to completely hide the search bar (like Mozilla/Netscape's toolbars)
2) Ability to access the search bar regardless of what is selected - many times I know what I'm looking for is in a specific category, so ti would be easier to select the category than type out a complicated filter string. Look at Dapyx MP3 Explorer for a pretty smoov implementation.
3) Ability to get rid of song info area above the player controls
4) Ability to move the player controls to the top (under the text menus) so all my primary interface controls are near each other - a usability point.
5) Ability to display the Playing Now window above the Content Pane, the way the Visualization Window is displayed above Playing Now.
6) Assurance that visualizations are not eating CPU cycles even thou I do not have them visible
That is all

I don't remember what I did (actually I can't even remember I did anything), but I sure don't see a search bar.

Not even if you select Media Library in th Organization Tree (left side of the program)?

hehehe! on my wishlist would be to see a real FINAL version that fixes the small bugs i hear about such as cddb stalling ..
i have been useing MJB since version 7.2, and purchased it when 8.0.293 was released and havent run into any problems with .293 yet...
I think i won't be updateing .293 untill i see something indicateing that it has reached a possible Final stage in development though, I'd hate to see it get unstable due to an upgrade LOL.

The search bar is visible when you select 'Media Library'. When you select 'Album Artist / Album' it shows the same thing without the search bar above. MJ can go either way.
I think this was a designed feature of MJ 8. To have an option like this implemented may take while, like the next release of MJ.

I'm not sure about visualizations, but I know for a fact that if you have track info selected, it is not updating that unless it is visible in MJ. I know because I have the page displayed by itself in my taskbar, and it doesn't go to the next song if I don't have the track info displayed inside of MJ.
