Hi, I tried to find an existing topic solving this problem but ended up with nothing.
I already have a smartlist displaying album without covers but now I'd like to fiter low res covers.
How could I do that?

There is no built-in feature checking the size of cover art, but you can use Mr ChriZ's script for adding the size info to your library.
The procedure is explained in detail here: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=51556.0
The "standalone script" is obviously a lot faster, but you can also use Mr ChriZ's scripting plugin (though, I have not tested the it on MC14).
A screenshot is attached. Log in to the forum if you can't see it.

while its an actions i only do once a year, i just open the coverart folder in windows explorer, and add size to columns to show. a search might give the same result. guess it only works when you save your art outside the files, and if you only do it sometimes, just to check..but that is how i do it..

Won't work for me, I store my cover art in each album folder.
Thanks for the help

Mr ChriZ's "script" works fine and is easy to use. You just need to create two new library fields (or three if you want to create the "kilopixel" field in order to have a single field for display).
Did you try it?

Using Windows search function you can find all *.jpg files in different subfolders in your music folder and sort the result by file size or image size. That is how I do it.
