Title: DVD - Stereo Output
Post by: kthomas on December 13, 2009, 08:28:38 pm
I use MC for DVD playback - I'm not only happy with stereo playback (rather than 5.1), I want to output from the MC PC in SPDIF 2-channel stereo and use a standard 2-channel DAC to decode (rather than a HT receiver).

Is there a way to configure this?   I'm running Vista and MC14.

Thanks in advance.

Configure it in audio decoder filter.  Bring out "DVD playback settings..." window in MC, double-click the audio decoder name on the list of DirectShow filters.  And of course, make sure you select the audio renderer that corresponds to the device from which you have the digital connection to DAC.
