Not quite sure where this would post. But is it possible to have MC access the Playon Media Server on the same server. The reason is to use some of there plugin's and Netflix. Wouldn't be using it for music etc. I used to be able to do this in XMBC. Just wondering if its possble in MC?
Thanks!

Have anyone had any luck with Playon DLNA rendering on MC?
I am new to both PlayOn and DLNA but PlayOn worked without any problem with Wii, MC, however, gives me an error message: There was a problem trying to load a library from the selected DLNA server..
How to configure MC to work with PlayOn? Anyone?
Thanks!

Hello,
Is it even possible to make MC14 to work with PlayOn? Did anyone manage to make them play together?
I am getting this error message from MC: "There was a problem trying to load a library from the selected DLNA server"..
I do have an entry under File | Library - PlayOn (opteron) (DLNA server)
MC is running on 192.168.0.100 ("opteron")
Here's MC's DLNA log:

Any ideas?
Thanks!

C'mon people.. give me a bone. I have 7 days left on PlayOn trial... Please help!
I am using the latest MC 14.0.158

I just tried the trialware on my win7 netbook. I could only see the playon server using MC on the same machine. Probably a windows firewall setting or something. Anyway I did get the same "problem trying to load..." message. Might get some time to look at it Monday, need a little help from Matt.

Finally.. some action here.. : ) Thank you!
I opened all possible ports for MC and PlayOn. Didn't help.
Since MC does see the PlayOn server, I guess network-wise everything is fine.
I have zero experience with DLNA - this was my first attempt.

A quick first look,
Playon is advertising a device description (what it's got for us) on 2 different ports. The second is empty (why I don't know). I'd guess that's the problem.

It seems that PlayOn doesn't support the "Search" function as a DLNA server. Media Center does a Search on the remote library when loading it. Because of the way the Media Center library is structured, it's unlikely that we'll be able to support PlayOn unless they implement Search.

Thanks!
sorry to hear this but at least I know now that I didn't do anything wrong.. it's all their fault. : )
