Title: restore playlists from a hard drive backup?

My old PC was stolen. Is it possible to restore playlists from a backup copy of the hard drive?

Sorry for your misfortune.  MC makes automatic backups.  You could restore one of them.  By default, I believe you'll find them here:

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\J River\Media Center 14\Library Backups
or the equivalent for your OS.

The drive letters and locations must match.  Post again if you need help.
