Title: iTouch support
Post by: RainCaster on January 20, 2010, 12:21:25 pm
I realize that the latest iPods (including my Touch) are not supported any longer, since Apple has changed the way they are discovered by the USB stack. I am willing to help out in the updating of this support in any way possible, including getting bus traces of my iPod Touch. (I do have access to a USB analyzer on occasion)

Would anyone else like to see better iPod support?

Apple added cryptographic locks to the database on the device making it impossible (and according to Apple, illegal) for third-parties to write to it.

Should this statement be stickied?

Unless you know Steve Job's e-mail address, the correct place for addressing feedback to Apple regarding this iTunes issue is
http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html

I suggest we bombard them with our frustrations due to being in love with both Media Center and the iPhone (or iPod Touch).

I don't know whether people believe articles posted on Gizmodo that report e-mail exchanges between people and Steve Jobs, but apparently his e-mail address is sjobs@apple.com ... I haven't tried it. But apparently that's it...
