How do you stop the view from changing when importing new music?
-
I've seen this too and the only way to prevent it from changing its view is to set the option under Options/General/Advanced called Clear Recently Played and choose Leave all tracks.
Setting it like that will keep its view without changes. However, is not a normal behavior to change its view every time files are imported. I like it to remove old tracks, but in the meanwhile, I remove them manually.

Thanks, i'll try that setting and report back.
-
Didn't work, it still changes to recently imported after importing.

I'm having the opposite problem. MC14 isn't changing to "Recently Imported" after I manually run a library import. I end up manually going to the "Recently Imported" playlist so I can see what was imported. I'd like to have it switch to that view automatically after an import.
So yes, it is possible to get MC14 not to switch to "Recently Imported" after an import. I'm just not sure how. I'm curious as to why my install/configuration is behaving this way. MC13 always switched to the "Recently Imported" view after an import and I'm going things the same way in MC14 as I did in MC13.

I'll state my problem a little more clear.
I have searched for a specific artist, I am on that artist page. I find that a song or album is missing.
I locate missing item, move into my music folder and hit import, to get media center to show the new item.
I would like to just see it on the artist page I am currently on, but after importing, it changes to the recently imported view.
I then have to go back to where I was.
-
I got into the habit of opening a new tab whenever I ran an import. That way when the view automatically changed to the "Recently Imported" playlist I wouldn't lose my current view.
-
I just did a quick experiment.
If I manually run an import by doing "File >> Library >> Import... >> Import a single folder" then the view does change to the Recently Imported playlist after the import is done.
If I manually run an import by doing "File >> Library >> Import... >> Run Auto-Import Now" then the view does not change to the Recently Imported playlist.
That makes sense. I've always just done "Run Auto-Import Now" so that's why I was getting the behavior I noticed.
I don't have MC configured to "run auto-import in background". I prefer to initiate an import manually.

Thanks, just run "auto import now" does what I want.
