Title: Glynor and the mysterious FTB
Post by: John Gateley on February 09, 2010, 08:37:54 pm
I follow Glynor on twitter, and have been trying to decode his last few tweets (I hate using that word). They seem to be about something called FTB which is winning, losing or perhaps failing. The best I could come up with is FTB = Flying Test Bed, For The Birds, Floating Tire Breakwater, and the most likely: Fakenham Town Band (est. 1881).

Another clue - today's tweet (I still hate using that word) was about "Last Episode", so it must be a TV show.

The Bachelor Dude?

The Big Dale (sequel to that  old western The Big Valley)?

Ha ha ha!

That's hysterical.  I hadn't seen this all this time.

I play in a Darts League (it's a handicapped league, and I play mostly for the beer and something to do).  Our team name is FTB.  Which is a acronym that expresses our displeasure for our inability to hit the bulls-eye.  It could also be interpreted as a suggestion to do something extremely inappropriate with a cow of the male persuasion (which would likely also be quite perilous).  We play Cricket and 301 with three person teams (plus one alternate if you want).

We're not very good, which is why my posts often involve failing.  Thanks for reminding me though.

I'm not sure what the "episode" tweet (hate it too) was about... Perhaps about LOST, or maybe I was just being obtuse.
