Title: Pontis driver needed for MJ8

I have the Pontis SP504 (USB) and MJ8.
There is is Pontis driver for MJ7, but I
cannot find one for MJ8. Am I not looking
in the right place, or is there just not a
driver for Pontis on MJ8? Is it possible
to download v7 of MJ somewhere? Thanks.

Hello Jimmy,

We have not released a Plug-in for MJ 8 yet. Now that we know that there is a need for it, I will work on it today and post something shortly.

Thanks very much - talk about quick response!
Most software mfg's will tell you to get lost
if you ask for something - what a nice change.
I downloaded the plug-in but it says - player
not found (or words to that effect). I did right
click on it and tell it I had the SP504(USB) - also
I do have the correct USB driver installed - the
L.E.D. software that comes with it (crap) works -
it sees the player and will download to it correctly.
I'm on MJ 8.318 and Windows 2000 - SP2.

Jimmy,

Most likely there is a particular file from Pontis that I will have to include in the Plug-in to get this to work.  I will have to do some testing to get to the bottom of this. I was planning to be in on Monday but now have gotten delayed and will not be at JRiver until Tuesday. I will look at it then and reply.

As a network administrator, I know that people in
the computer / software fields very often just
hear the complaints when things go wrong, and never

Jimmy,

Can you download the latest Pontis Plug-in (v 3.0.2)and see if things work better for you. There are some additional dll files from Pontis that I included that I think should do the trick. Thanks for your note.
