Title: Network based installation?
Post by: YannisA on February 18, 2010, 10:30:35 am
My topology:
A WHS 24/7 on, running MC Library server.
4 clients around the house.

We are now at ver. 144 of MC14.
Supposing I install every other update as it comes up, then up to now, I've made 5 X 144 = 720 installations (... and counting).
Because of this, I usually install next "decade's" version. For example, from v130 switched today to v144.
Any possibility to install a "core" update to ONE pc only, and the others to get updated from it soon as they are switched on?
Since MC is a "networked product" (DLNA, tremote, zones etc), I believe it should include this feature.

I love this idea.

Surely MC can check it's client's licenses & version and handle this on the sly, right?  ;)
