JRiver,
I purchased a license for version 8.
I have, up until now, been happy with Jukebox 12, but would like to upgrade to Center 14.
I do not have a registration code.
I do have a RRG file (which I can send you if you like)
My password did not work on the restoration page.
My email address has changed from mpastrone at mediaone.net to xxx.
Can I still get the Upgrade price?
Thanks,
Michael
PS.
There are three ways you can restore:
1. If you have your Registration Code, enter it here:
2. If you don't have it, we can e-mail it to you if your address hasn't changed.
3. If you need to change your e-mail address, you will need to know your old e-mail address AND your password.

I believe you have an MJ7 license. MJ8 will work with it. I checked our database and couldn't find an MJ8 license (or newer) for mpastrone. I'm sorry, but there is no upgrade price from MJ7 or earlier.

Thank you.
Yes it was an MJ7 license that would work with MJ8.
The date on the RRG file is Jan 2002.
Quess I'll have to bite the bullet.
After I get 14 installed and running.
It currently crashes, when auto updating the Library.
XP running Kaspersky...doing research now...

It currently crashes, when auto updating the Library.
If you have a Media Jukebox 7 / 8 library that fails to upgrade to Media Center 14, please send a copy to matt at jriver dot com. We'll do our best to fix the issue.
Thanks.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. My issue, is not upgrading a 7 / 8 library, but rather:
MC 14 (MediaCenter140140.exe) hangs on Library auto update in XP SP3, after each of these attempts to install:
- install MC14 on top of (different "default" directory) MJ12
- uninstalled both MJ12 and MC14, reboot, reinstall MC14
- disabled (not uninstalled) Kaspersky 2009
It seems to auto update the default directories OK.
But then after I point auto update to my audio directory (local D:\ drive) it consistently hangs.
Perhaps there is something corrupt in a media file (OGG container?) or something???
I have gone back to MJ12 for now.
Any other ideas?
Thanks, Michael

It's likely a problem file. We would very much like to see a copy of it.
You can use logging to help us track down the file:

Thanks.

Matt, Thanks for your lightening response. I sent an email also. Happy to use this thread if appropriate.
When I get the log, I will post it.
Couple Q's:
- How shall I send you the log file?
- where can I find it as MC14 will not start once it hangs?
- what install sequence shall I use, uninstall MJ12 first, reboots, etc.?

Just email me the log, as it might be big.
Directions about how to enable logging and find the log are here:

And there's no need to uninstall MJ12. Just install the latest MC14, turn on logging, and get the hang.
Thanks.
