Sometimes I'm told that JRiver can't find the files I'm trying to play. But they are right where they have always been. So I removed some of these songs from the library (not deleted the files) thinking I would just import the folder back into JRiver. But then during the import it "skips the files previously removed from the library". So my question is twofold.
1) Any idea why all of a sudden JRiver can't find files that are right where they have always been.
2) How can I re-import something that I previously removed from the library?
Thanks

1) I'm confused as to why you removed songs from a library that jrmc can't see. If jrmc couldn't see the files how do you remove them? In any event make sure the file types that you are trying to import are selected on the import options. It is possible they imported them as data so check in the documents file type on the left hand side where you find audio, video, playlists. etc. If you can't see a documents heading then you're fine
2) When you select import a folder you will see 2 option boxes at the bottom. Deselect ignore previously removed from library

1) I'm sorry that I wasn't clearer. The songs would appear in my library but when I tried to play them I got error messages that they could not be found in the location that JRiver is looking. Even though they HAD been previously played from that same location. My thinking was that if I removed them from the library and then put them back, that they might play. I'm confused as to how they got lost in the first place?
2) Ah-ha, the sneaky "ignore previously removed from library" check box. Foiled again.

Import options include one called something like "Ignore files previously removed..."

Ahh...I see.
The only reason I can see they aren't playing is 1) they were moved (which you have said they haven't) or 2 if it is a network mapped drive there may be issues with the mapping. Is it networked? Well I guess if we solved 2 we may have solved 1.
Let us know.
