Title: Video cutting before grabing ?

Sorry for this very basic question: I am new with Media center softwares.

I spent lot of time reading the support and the wiki, searching for a tool (included in the MC software; not a third party one), allowing to cut video at the beginning and at the end of a recorded video before grabing it on a DVD (I am talking about a simple interface compatible with the theater IHM - dedicated for TV and remote ; not a full video editor).

Am I the only one to need a media center which should at least "acquire (audio/video or files) + simple edit (mark-in/out) + save/export/grab + search + display"
This functionalities are all present in the JRiver MC, but this simple-edit (same remark about the Windows one...)

What do you think about this ?

MC does not do video editing.
