Title: Moving version 14 to a new computer
Post by: man0nthehill on March 04, 2010, 05:31:11 pm
Hi!

First time here on the forum. I will soon be upgrading to a new computer and I will need to re-install verison 14 onto my new computer. Fortunately my music is on its own hard drive, so all I should have to do is install the program. What is the procedure for doing this? Is this what restoring a license is all about? I'm a little confused.

Thanks for any help!

Yes, you can get a license here...

License is good for 2 weeks, just in case something goes wrong. A copy of the license is also sent to your email.

Couple things to do...

Backup your library, I suggest you do this on to your external drive that contains your music.

If your drive letter changes on the new machine you can change it to what it was or you can use MC's Find and Replace command to quickly fix the drive letter for your files.
