I would really like to see one of the features mentioned under implemented.
Like many others I use MC for a HTPC setup and navigation is done with a remote control. My HTPC boots up and start MC in Theater View, meaning I do not use nor do I want to use a keyboard or a mouse. Tagging is done from a laptop and synchronized with the server.
However I want to be able to synchronize the library on the HTPC to reflect the latest changes without having to close down Theater View and use a keyboard or a mouse to synchronize with the library server.
- Automatic synchronization of library on client or server changes
- On-demand library synchronization through Theater View
- Scheduled synchronization through the build in Scheduler plugin
Automatic synchronization would of course be the optimal solution but I believe most of us could live with a on-demand library synchronization function through Theater View aswell.
-
I'm still kind of eager to hear what plans there are for such a feature.
Library synchronization through Standard View does simply not cut it in the long run for those of us that use MC with a remote control.
-
We intend to do more, but I can't say when.
-
As a temporary solution wouldn't it be possible to add a menu option in Theater View for the library, just like the one in Standard View?
-
i like the idea of sync while in theaterview as well.

there is a mcc command for library sync. im not familiar with libary syncing, but when that command does what it promisses, you can add it easy to thv. the command is
/mcc 20026
in options>thv add an external program, add the command and untick the option, hide mediacenter while program is running.
i hope that that works, but as i said, im unfamiliar with lib syncs

Thanks gappie.
This will do just fine, for me atleast, if it works the same way as syncing from Standard View.
Anyone that can confirm this?
