Title: Newbie ? Do you rip CD's using MC 14 or do you use EAC/dBpower/etc.

Does MC14 provide for ripping CD's?  If not, does it matter if you use EAC or dBpoweramp?

TIA!

it does.  Start MC, insert a CD... and follow the prompts.

Thanks.  Do you know how it compares to dBpoweramp?

If you go to Tools > Options > CD & DVD > CD Ripping > Copy Mode you can set it to Secure. This is basically the same as using EAC, etc. and it will reread the data up to 16 times in order to ensure accuracy. I do all my ripping from within MC.
