Have tried MC for ripping and found it less cumbersome than EAC but am experimenting with ripping using EAC (because of the facility which checks with the AccurateRip database) and then importing into MC. I have ripped 4 CDs and am really a beginner here. My CD collection is primarily classical. There is frequently 2 or more complete compositions on a classical CD such that I would like the option of a column for the composition which may have several tracks in it which can be individually name e.g. allegro. With the imported flac files I cannot see how this can be done and thus would appreciate any advice that could be provided.

There are a couple of options to solve this.
One is to make a custom tag “Composition”.
However, this probably won’t work outside MC e.g. on a portable.
What I do is simply use “album” for the composition.
I don’t care about the format of the CD.
However sometimes it might be convenient to know what the contents of the original CD has been. This can be solved by copying the “album” to the comment field first and by having all the tracks of a CD in the same folder

I have used 'name' and may settle on this unless something better comes along ... such as may occur as I learn more about this software

"Name" is the title of the track, this is normally used for the parts of a composition.
What I use:
Album: String quartet no.1 Name: I Allegro
Album: String quartet no.1 Name: II Adagio
Album: String quartet no.1 Name: III Menuetto
Album: String quartet no.1 Name: IV Finale
