Title: Curious: why MJ can apply DSP on audio CD but Winamp can't

I am curious! I am going to purchase MJ after my trial period expire.

Lucy,

This probably has something to do with how Winamp uses plug-ins for most of its options. Just a guess, do not have Winamp installed. The DSP studio in MJ is native, not based on plug-ins as far as I know.

There are DSP plug-ins for Winamp though. May want to check that site for more info.

Oh - Thank you for your opinion.

Most mp3 players' equalizers do not work on audio CD. They just work on mp3 or WAV files. But MJ can make its equalizer work on CD too. I think it is amazing...

I suspect the DSP works when you have "digital playback" enabled (which is the default, I think).  "Analog" output most likely bypasses the DSP.
